Hair Loss

Heredity is the leading cause of hair loss in men.  In women, genes also play a role, however it is most comely caused by hormonal changes.  Frequent shampooing, hair spray, wearing hats, poor circulation have also been blamed as causes for baldness, however these are all myths.  Many factors including high fever, stress, severe infection, diet, certain medications, birth control pills, childbirth, thyroid disease and radiation treatment can cause hair loss.  Some types of hair loss are curable, others can be helped.  Through investigation towards the reasons for the hair loss sometimes is necessary especially in women.  There are however effective treatment, some medical and some require the restoration of hair through a surgical process called hair transplantation.  Hair loss can be prevented and treated.

FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction is another way of transferring hair to areas of need. The FUE allows Us to harvest each hair one at a time from the back or sides of the head or another  area of the body if needed.
Once harvested the chosen number of units are transferred to the areas of need; scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows , chest, arms etc.
Since no cuts or incisions are done there are NO large scars .Follicular Unit Extraction is mostly for those patients that want a smaller procedure , or want to build up an area a little at a time.
